Shatta Wale Reported Shot Dead: Is It True? Check Out What You Need To Know About It

Last night, Ghanaians were thrown into a state of shock and anxiety following the news of the shooting of a dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale. This followed an earlier prophecy by one Jesus Ahuofe who predicted that Charles Nii Armah aka Shatta Wale would be shot and killed just as Lucky Dube was killed in South Africa on 18th October.

  1. The news was first published by one of the are aides to Shatta on social media. Later the aide updated his fans that the artiste was receiving treatment at the emergency ward at an undisclosed hospital.

The Police took the matter up by laying contacts to close relatives and friends of Shatta Wale. But all those the police contacted claimed to not know about the said shooting and the whereabouts of the award-winning artiste. A team of police also visited his East Legon house but met his absence. A statement from the Police requested the public to assist in locating Shatta Wale. It also asked the public to be circumspect in spreading such information.

By daybreak today, Shatta had issued a statement on his Instagram page apologizing to his fans for faking a shooting and hospitalization. He claimed to have used the fones of his aides to publish such falsehood because he was traumatized over the prophecy of Jesus Ahuofe.

According to Shatta, he had reported to the police about the prophecy which he considered a threat to his life but the police didn't act.

He admitted he was healthy but on the run until the police demonstrate that the laws of Ghana work and that his life was no longer in danger. But the police have insisted that they are still looking for the artiste. According to the police, Shatta Wale should report himself to the nearest police station in whatever condition he finds himself.

Instead of the musician doing the needful, he is still pushing tantrums using social media. A few hours ago, Shatta tweeted that he was losing his mind due to the incessant calls by the police to report himself. He felt the police are pushing him to a tight corner instead of arresting Jesus Ahuofe.

Many people have condemned the action of Shatta describing it as a wrong move. Appearing on TV3's New Day show today, Reggie Rockstone said what Shatta did was not right regardless of his justification. He said we don't joke about these things.

For now, anyone with information about the whereabouts of Shatta Wale is encouraged to volunteer same to the Police as soon as possible.
